The wait is finally over as the Claremont High School boys tennis team will finally get its shot win its 2nd consecutive CIF Southern Section Division III championship starting at 12:30 p.m. against Placentia Valencia at the Claremont Club.
The 2 teams met each other in the championship match last season. The Wolfpack defeated the Tigers, 13-5, to win its first CIF championship in the history of the boys tennis program.
In CIF Individual Sectionals, Clarke Spinosa took 2nd place, his highest finish in the event. Today will be the last match in a CHS uniform for him and several other seniors such as Trevor James, Scott Donaldson, Frank Liu and David Standerfer.
Results of today's match will be posted on the blog later tonight.
